We are thrilled to invite you to our next Pointer Wine Tasting in Berlin. This event continues our series of wine tasting events in Berlin, both indoors and outdoors and will be hosted by Ramona Enache-Lorenz, founder and designer of Pointer wine Glass, holding a WSET Level 2 Sommelier certification .

Ramona was born in Romania, in a family of hobby wine makers. She spent her holidays in the vineyards of her grandparents, pruning the vines, helping with harvest and crushing grapes. Designing Pointer Wine Glass pushed Ramona further into the fascinating wine world and after trying numerous wines from different parts of the world, Ramona’s attention shifted back to her roots and most of all, to the lesser known grape varieties.

Romanian wines are not that well known despite Romania being the 6th largest producer in Europe. We would like to introduce you to the fascinating grape universe we grew up in, home of 19 local grape varieties and attracting wine makers from all around Europe. Did we make you curious enough?

How to store

When preserved correctly, wine can last for decades, even centuries, growing in value and quality. But poor storage can spoil even the greatest wines in the world. These are a few aspects you should keep in mind: Store Wine at the Proper Temperature; Store wine bottles horizontally; Protect wine from light and vibration; Store wine at the proper humidity; Store wine in a wine fridge, not a regular fridge; Serve wine at the proper temperature; Store open bottles of wine properly

How to recycle

Up to 90% of new glass can be made from recycled glass. If you’re getting ready for a night out on the town, drink consciously and remember to keep your empties and then bring to the bottle bank. If you’re hoping to leave future generations with a healthy-ish and useful environment, then recycling wine bottles is the way forward and it doesn’t take much effort.
